Privacy

The short version: we collect only the email address you give us, use it only for the updates you asked for, never sell it, and let you leave in one click.

What we collect

If you sign up for email, we store your email address and which updates you chose — the weekly digest, the lake-level alerts, or both. We also record which page the signup came from, so we know which parts of the site are useful. That's it — no name required, no account, no tracking you across other sites.

How we use it

Your address is used only to send the emails you opted into — the weekly digest, the lake-level alerts, or both — and nothing else. We don't use it for any other purpose, and we never sell or rent it. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe, and you can change which updates you get any time.

Where it's stored

Email is handled by MailerLite, a managed email service that stores subscriber addresses and sends the messages on our behalf. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link and a way to manage exactly which updates you receive — change your mind any time, no questions asked.

Site analytics

We measure traffic with Umami, a privacy-first, cookieless analytics tool. It counts page views and basic events without cookies, without fingerprinting, and without collecting anything that identifies you — which is why there's no cookie banner to click through.

The camera

The cam's own privacy posture — open water and named public landmarks only, no faces identified or stored — is covered on the About page.
